Primary Cells: HUVEC (200-05n)

Catalogue No.: 06090720
CAI No.: 200-05n
Cell Line Name: HUVEC (200-05n)
Species: Human
Tissue: Umbilical vein
Cell Line Description: Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVEC) are isolated from normal human umbilical vein. They are cryopreserved at the end of primary culture and can be cultured and propagated at least 16 population doublings. HUVEC are responsive to cytokine stimulation in the expression of cell adhesion molecules. These cell systems are commonly used for physiological and pharmacological investigations, such as macromolecule transport(1), blood coagulation(2), and fibrinolysis(3). References:1. While every effort is made to ensure details distributed by HPA Culture Collections are accurate, HPA Culture Collections cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies in the data supplied. References where quoted are mainly attributed to the establishment of the cell culture and not for any specific property of the cell line, therefore further references should be obtained regarding cell culture characteristics.

Cultures supplied by HPA Culture Collections are for research purposes only. Enquiries regarding the commercial use of a culture are referred to the depositor. Some cultures have additional special release conditions such as the requirement for a material transfer agreement to be completed by the potential recipient prior to the supply of the cell line.
