Catalogue No.: 06090755
CAI No.: B900-05
Cell Line Name: BRAEC (B900-05)
Species: Bovine
Tissue: Kidney
Cell Line Description: "Bovine Renal Artery Endothelial Cell (BRAEC) are derived from renal artery of USDA inspected cattle. They are cryopreserved at the second passage and can be propagated at least 10 doublings. Endothelial cell dysfunction is the primary cause of no reflow phenomenon in postischemic kidneys(1). Low endothelial nitric oxide synthasae activity may contribute in hypertension(2,3) in renal failure patients. BRAEC have been used as a cellular model for studying the pathogenesis of septic shock(4). References:1. Brodsky, S.V. et al, Am. J. Physiol Renal Physiol. 282(6):F1140 (2002). 2.
