Diabetes UK Warren Type 1 Diabetes DNA Panels

The Diabetes UK Type 1 Diabetes Warren Collection is the largest single collection of type 1 diabetes multiplex families in the world, consisting of over 1600 individuals, representing more than 400 families. For inclusion families must consist of two living parents and at least two children with insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, at least one of which must have been diagnosed before the age of seventeen.

Case DNA Panels
ECACC, with support from Diabetes UK, has now made available genomic DNA from 576 affected individuals from each of these collections, organized into six panels per collection for the customer&s convenience. Each panel consists of 2µg of DNA at a concentration of 100ng/µl from each of 96 unrelated individuals.
Information concerning age at diagnosis and HLA profile for each sample from the Warren 1 collection is available from ECACC on request, and more information, including genotype data can be found at www-gene.cimr.cam.ac.uk/todd.
