Assay Ready Cells
ECACC supplies frozen "Assay Ready" cells for drug discovery applications as part of our Cell Culture Management Services. This allows customers to decouple cell culture preparation from high throughput screening programmes, providing cells "off the shelf" to customer specifications when they are needed, and in the quantities required. Benefits include:

Provide us with a flask or an ampoule of the cell line you wish to use, e.g. cells expressing your protein of interest, and we will manufacture cell banks to your specification, using one of a range of large scale cell culture systems which include: 10 layer "Cell Factory"™ (Nunc) or "CellStack"™(Corning), 50L Biowave or multiple roller bottle processing (Cellon RC40™).
A typical Assay Ready Bank consists of 100 to 500 ampoules, each containing 1 x 107or more cells, cryopreserved in a programmable rate controlled freezer and certified free of microbial (including mycoplasma) contamination.
