NCPV Contract Services

In addition to supplying viruses and virus nucleic acid preparations, NCPV undertakes contract research and development work for customers. This includes activities such as screening for viruses, inactivation of pathogens, preparation of virus-derived products, biosafety testing etc.

The majority of enquiries seek to utilise NCPV's expertise in handling high containment pathogens in BSL3 and BSL4 facilities. Each request is considered on a case by case basis and, following discussion with the customer, NCPV will supply a quote and timeline for each piece of work. If NCPV is unable to carry out the work in question, we attempt to use our extensive contacts within virus reference laboratories and other institutions to find an alternative group who may be able to help the customer.
