Level 2 Cell Culture Training Course

The four day Level 2 ECACC cell culture course is aimed at scientists who already have some experience of cell culture but wish to extend or broaden their knowledge. The course is ideal for those wanting comprehensive instruction in fundamental areas of current significance with lectures from guest speakers who are specialists in their subject.

Topics covered include:

Stem cells and Tissue engineering

Establishment of primary cultures

Terminal differentiation and apoptosis

Strategies for genetic modification of cells in culture

Preparation and use of hybridomas

Cell line immortalisation and cell cycle control

Scale-up of cell culture

Validation and Quality Control of cell cultures

The course has been extensively revised and now includes a practical element covering areas such as primary culture, cloning, differentiation, apoptosis and cell marker analysis.

Individuals considering attending the Level 2 course must have basic asceptic technique and cell culture practical skills and a basic understanding of the subject.

Details
The Level 2 course is held twice a year in the Spring and Autumn. Accommodation is booked on your behalf at a hotel in Salisbury although this is not included in the course fee.

The course fee includes transport between the hotel and ECACC, a comprehensive training manual, lunches and refreshments at ECACC and a course dinner which gives delegates the opportunity to interact with staff members teaching on the course.

We will contact delegates approximately one month before the course date confirming their reservation and providing accommodation and travel details.
